Sunday 28 May : Northrepps, Cromer and North Norfolk Coast

Post by Julian » Sun May 21, 2017 6:44 pm

Right, here we go again, another walking adventure.

Firstly, sod all thanks to Lucas and Steve, who have both led excellent walks which have been really popular. So the bar has been set high, burdening me with a huge pressure.

Anyway, I shall endeavour to lead another mediocre walk which is packed full of incident, confusion and excitement. Due to the usual circumstances beyond my control, I haven't reccied this walk, this time my excuse is that I'm in France.

So we're going to meet at Northrepps Church (NR27 0LG) at 10.30 on Sunday 28 May.

I've pinched the walk from Norwich Ramblers (they're very tolerant of me), which is very kind of them, so you can even see it in advance at:

http://www.norfolkdwl.org.uk/show_map.php?cat=1&id=259

NB, we don't start where the above walk started, so don't turn up in Cromer and wonder where I am. I'll be in Northrepps. If there is any confusion about this, then please send a letter of complaint to Richard May, he's in charge of complaints about my walks :)

I will admit, we've walked some of this before. But the North Norfolk coast path is lovely, and this allows for beer and ice cream as we go round. And a drink at the end. Usual stuff, bring food, drink (Belgian beer would be good this time) and whatever makes you happy. Within reason, don't bring sex toys.

The walk is only 12 miles, which is less than I'd advertised, but we can always walk around a loop at the end if someone really, really wants to. But it'll be after the pub, I'm not leading an extra three miles whilst most people are in the pub.

It'd be nice if someone brings cake to share round for everyone as well - but this isn't compulsory (although I might bring Kit Kats which is about the limit of my effort with these things).

I've kept this post nice and short as I felt some of my previous posts were a bit full of extraneous text. I'm sure everyone will agree that I've pared this post right down to the bone in terms of getting rid of unnecessary words.

That's it, hopefully see some people next Sunday! Any questions, please post away!

Julian.

Very succinct. I'll be there and will leave my sex toys at home this time :D

I would be interested in coming on this walk and can get to Mulbarton, Thickthorn and possibly Norwich bus station. Thank you, Emily Burkitt

Thanks for a great turnout of 17 people - glad I could deliver chips, real ale and ice cream :)

There are more photos on my Facebook page and the Meetup page.
